Hi all!
Firstly... A huge welcome to my new followers :)

Sorry I've been away so long, but I've been so busy that I just had to let something go and unfortunately that 'something' was my blogging :( I'm back though now, although I can't promise I will be posting regularly... but I'll try! Just Inklined DT cards

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been missing for a while again, but I've been sooo busy! I've been decorating my aunts house... every single room and it's taken me ages to get finished. I'm actually sick of seeing paint, but in a few weeks I have to start again... on my own house :( I've been waiting for someone to come and change all the heating system in my house since winter, typical they're coming the first week in June to start work, eh?! Then the whole lot needs rewiring, so I've definitely got to get in decorating mode again... anyone fancy lending a hand? LOL!

Anyway, I'd better show you my latest Just Inklined DT cards, otherwise I am never gonna leave the naughty corner! I've made two to make up for my absence... And they're Christmassy one's because I have to get started on making some, I've already done what we crafters do and broken the promise to myself to make at least one a week ;)

Here's the first one I made using Kissing Robins...

Isn't it a gorgeous image?! Love it!

And for the second one I used Little Church In The Snow

Are you feeling cold yet?! LOLZ!
I coloured them both with Promarkers and Dotted acrylic white paint about for the snow effect. Of course I had to add some stickles and other sparkly bits ;) Isn't the blue sparkly ribbon lovely? It's by Trimcraft from the Fizzy Moon collection... Had to have it, 'cause I'm like a magpie with shiny things!

The corners I found in a bargain bucket at Dunhelm... 99p for a sheet of 32! Then I had to have a nosy in the sewing section and all sorts found its way into my basket... like magic! The dangly beady thing on the top card was from some gorgeous trimming ribbon type stuff which I bought in many varieties, because I HAD TO! LOL!

BTW... Have any of you noticed my new look blog? Well, I'm a total technophobe when it comes to stuff like this, so Jak Heath sorted it all out for me... THANKS Jak! I really appreciate it, especially as I spent about 6 months trying to figure how to get rid of the old 'squish everything tight in the middle' blog layout! I could barely see my pic's. So I think you'll all agree this is way better :)

Ooooh, I almost forgot to tell you all about the colouring class I took a few Sunday's ago at The Craft Box, (Elsecar Heritage Centre)... It was ACE! What a laugh! All the ladies were absolute stars and a bit bonkers... unlike me... *chokes*. They enjoyed it so much they want me to do another :) I'll post the date when I find out for sure when the next one is ;)
I just have to say thank-you to them all for making it a brilliant day! Especially Yvonne for creating something truly unique... She was late, so I think she didn't know she was supposed to be copying what I was doing. LOL!

Just Inklined to HOP!

Hi... I'm back again! I have to quickly write this post, as it's now 6:55 and the hop starts at 7:00 a.m! Do you think I can make it in time?... Aaaargh!
This month's hop theme is CAS (Clean and Simple)... Our lovely host this time around is Jak, so you need to start at her blog and make your way back to mine... I'm after Toni :)

Here's my take on CAS...

I used the Wedding Purse digi from La Pashe and coloured it up with Promarkers, added some gold Stickles and liquid pearls.

I embossed the plain white background with a Cuttlebug folder and accented the card with red, as you can see! :D Nice and easy!!!

Oooooh... it's 7:17!!!! NAUGHTY CORNER AWAITS!!! It doesn't help that I've just had to break off to try and help Pete find his phone! MEN!

To make this hop a little more interesting, there are five hidden spot prizes on five of the design teams blogs. If you leave a comment on each blog and your name is chosen from one of the winning blogs. then you win the digi image showcased on the card on that particular blog. The winners will be announced on Wednesday.

YOWZERS!...

It's ME! I'm back again... so soon! I'm here to post my Just Inklined DT card, hopefully keeping me out of the naughty corner ;)

I REALLY had fun experimenting with this image, because to be honest I'm not a flower and foliage fan when it comes to colouring... so it's good to push yourself sometimes. I only hope I've done it a bit of justice...

Hmmm... what d'ya reckon? I think aubergine and cream are a lovely combination :)

I coloured the image using Promarkers, Copic's, Marvy Le Plume pens and a white highlighter.

The large rose is cropped, rotated and blown up from the left hand side stem... that's the beauty of digi stamps, you can have a little play and create something extra from them :D

I got the border to match by colouring plain white card with the accent (plum) Promarker... something I do quite often if I don't have matching coloured card.

I went around the edge of the border of the large rose with some gorgeous glittery glitter, it just doesn't show up that well on the photo... BOOOOOOO :(

Again! Such a bargain at £1! Pop by and grab yourself some of their stamps while they're so cheap!!!

HELLO!!! Sorry I haven't been around for a while, life stuff got in the way... that's all I'm saying, or I'll be here forever!
I'm here because I made a wedding card and will be posting it on Just Inklined blog seeing as I used one of their fabby digi images. The person who I made it for asked for purple pink and silver combo... not my favourite colours, but who am I to argue?!

Here it is...

I loved colouring the image... You can find the stamp here at La Pashe. It's gorgeous, ain't it? Just a quid!! What a bargain ;)

It's another hit and run job from me I'm afraid... 74 place settings to make for Pete's daughter's wedding... she wants bookmark type settings so that's nice and easy, eh?! NOT! LOL!

It's official! Safmat is brilliant!

Hi everyone :) Hope you're all fit and well! We've had some gorgeous weather here in Blighty, which does perk you up a bit :D

Okay, so I was sent something from Letraset this week and asked if I could use it on a project... it's called Safmat and it's BRILLIANT! I'm not just saying that... I do LOVE it! It's a clear film, which looks almost invisible when you adhere it to your project. You put it through your printer and can print absolutely anything on it. You know how you don't have stamps that say everything that you can stamp straight onto your project? This does the job perfectly! All you need to do is print it off, cut it out and stick it on!!!

I used it on a candle and it worked so easily that I could make at least 3 or 4 in half an hour :)

Here it is...

Firstly I measured the circumference of the candle to make sure the Safmat went all way round. Opened up Picasa, chose a background, then I added the writing and the image over it and printed it off. Yeah, it really was that easy! To finish it off, I added some Gold Stickles, some self adhesive crystals and a bit of ribbon around the bottom. The sparkle you can see above the fairies head is Spray and Sparkle which I sprayed all over the Safmat from a distance of about 8 inches... I think I'll put a notice with this to the recipient not to light it, I think it could be a bit flammable :S LOL! But it does give it a lovely, magical effect :)

Outlawz DT card

Hi again everyone! Hope you're all fit and well :) I haven't been around all week again because I'm crazy busy, in fact, this card is a day late :( I wish I could wake up one morning and magically everything that needs doing is done... lol, it's not going to happen though, only in my head!

So onto this week's challenge over at The Outlawz... Copic/Promarker - colour an embellishment .

Another easel card :D

The butterfly frame was thick plain cream card which I coloured with Promarkers, heat embossed with clear holographic embossing powder and Silver embossing powder and then dotted liquid pearls about :)

Goooood morning everyone! I'm back with another card for Make It Colourful where this week's challenge is colouring backgrounds. My card is a little bit late because I've been so busy, but I really didn't want to miss too many challenges... I do love making cards for MIC. I've just been over there and checked out the other cards and WOWSERS! they are all awesomeness! Please take time to go and have a look, you won't be disappointed I promise :)

I've made another busy little card this week, I get themes in my head and get a bit carried away. LOL! I even got my fimo out and had a play... don't look too closely... I did my best... HONEST! heh-heh.

Here it is...

I tried to get a shot of the wings, they do actually bend away from the card, but I didn't get a good shot... I hope you can see it a little bit :)

And here are my little Fimo toadstools... DON'T LAUGH! I'm not the best when it comes to clay modelling ;) I added some Liquid Pearls to make the dots because I did some with white Fimo, but they came out an odd brown colour... I think I burnt them, which tells you a lot about my cooking skillz :S

And finally a close up of the background and Dusk (I will give you a link to both digi's in the ingredients part).

I find easel cards so hard to photograph, if anyone knows a better way to get everything in in one shot, let me know! :D

Passion For Promarkers - In The Garden

I know I haven't been around for over a week, but I've been mega busy, so I apologise for not replying to comments and catching up on all your blogs :) I've been catching up with orders for cards, making wedding invites and other stuff that I needed to catch up on... I'm still going to be busy for the next month!

Oooooh, I had some really exciting news last night from my best buddy... she's getting married in September! Whooooooop! Myself and The Boz are going to be bridesmaids... in MALTA! YAY! That's me on a diet for the next six months :( I've got to start making invitations straight away (yes, another job to add to my list) but she wants something a bit quirky? If any of you have any quirky ideas let me know! ;)

Right! Onto my DT card for Just Inklined ... This is a few days late, but I went to the GNPE on Sunday when I should have been making this. It's ok though, I won't get sent to the infamous naughty corner, because Jak Heath prompted me into going! She even seemed quite pleased to see me, until I knocked over her beautiful flower display stand :O LOL! I managed to salvage it with a bit of help from one of her glamorous assistants... Sorry I forget his name ;)

Here's my card for this week...

The digi stamp is called Fashion Shoe and can be downloaded from La Pashe for just £1!

I coloured it with Promarkers, black fineliner 0.3, Sekura Stardust on the pattern and went over it with Glossy Accents. Ain't it pretty?!

Some good news! and my DT card for Just Inklined :)

Hello all! I have a little bit of good news... Jay is home! YAY! He was allowed to come out of hospital, but has to go back once a week for check ups. They're still not sure what caused all the fits and will still run tests on him, but the swelling on his brain seems to have gone down and his fits have calmed down with the medication he's been prescribed. We're still keeping our fingers crossed that nothing major shows up, but so glad he's home :)

Thanks so much for all your get well wishes for our Jay.

On to my DT card for Just Inklined. I used the digi stamp Ted and Agnes for this fun card. It was perfect for my folk's Anniversary on the 10th of March... they've been married 49 years! I told them I used a photo of them for their card... LOL! Agnes doesn't have any teeth by the look of the illustration, which is funny because my mam prides herself on her perfect set of choppers! She really does have perfect teeth and she's 71... not one single filling or any tiny amount of staining! Unlike my dad, who I say has teeth like dustbins... one in every yard! LOL! Hmmm... you might have to be a bit British to get that little joke?

Anyway, here it is...

Heh-heh... How glamorous are Ted and Agnes?! I love how Ted is giving it the 'thumbs up' and Agnes is going for his backside! LOLZ!

You can download the stamp from La Pashe. I say this every time, but you have to grab their stamps! They're a real bargain, but that doesn't mean they're not quality, as you can see ;)

I coloured Ted and Agnes with Promarkers. Went over the glasses and spec's with Diamond Glaze.

Added Stickles here and there, et Voila! Done!

Just Inklined blog hop...

Hi all! Firstly, I'd like to thank you all for your lovely messages... sorry if I haven't replied to you all personally, but I really do appreciate all your kind words. Jay was allowed home for one night, but he's no better, he can't walk and his speech is slurred, still paralysed down his right hand side. He goes back into hospital tomorrow, for months it would seem. I'll keep you all updated with his progress. We're all trying to keep positive and hoping for the best!

Now I'll tell you about my DT card for Just Inklined and the blog hop we're having, the theme is 'Anything Embossed'. Hopefully you will have come here from lovely Lydia's blog... if not, WHY?! LOL! Start the hop from Joyce's blog and make your way back to mine :)

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out, tbh I was a bit worried about colouring it up and thought it would be a challenge as I've never coloured dogs before... well not lifelike looking dogs anyway. Let me just say... IT WAS EASY! The hardest part was the foliage and even that wasn't hard. It looks a bit like a watercolour in real life. I think I'll use this image A LOT! It's perfect for males and females of any age, provided they like dogs that is ;)

Okay, I know I did another simple card, but sometimes the image is so lovely that you don't want to take the eye away from it with other distracting objects, also it can be used for a male without the ribbons, flowers and whatknot. I showed this to my dad and brother earlier and they both thought it was fab for a man... even with the girly corners... LOL!

The digi stamp is from La Pashe and is called Cocker Spaniel Pup. I seriously love it!

What do you think? A BARGAIN for a pound, eh?!

Colouring in sepia...

Hi all, hope you're all fit and well. I'm having a bad time at the moment... all my family is having a bad time at the moment. As a lot of you know, my nephew died two years ago with brain tumours and cancer which had spread all over his body. Well, another nephew (Jay Connah) has been having lots of fits everyday and is in hospital at the moment with suspected brain tumours caused by a virus. He's now paralysed down his right hand side and his brain is so swollen that he can't be operated on so they can investigate for another two weeks. As you can imagine, we're all extremely worried :(

I'm going to apologise for not keeping on top of my blogging, but my heart really isn't in it atm. Thank-you for all the lovely comments you've left on my cards... I do read them! :)

Here is my DT card made for the Black and White/Sepia challenge over at The Outlawz. I hope you'll all try and join in :)

I coloured the ching-chou kuik image with Copics and Promarkers, also gold liquid pearls.

I then went over it with Tim Holtz distress crackle paint (clear rock candy). I looks better in real life tbh.

I used a Martha Stewart butterfly corner punch and added embellishments from my stash.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Just A Note...

Hello again... I'm back and still angry with my internetz! AOL is RUBBISH! If I can get a connection for more than 5 minutes it's a miracle these days! Can anyone recommend a good service provider, because every one I've looked at seems to have bad reports :( Anyway, hopefully I'll manage to stay online long enough to get this posted.

I've made a very simple card using Kitchen Shelves from La Pashe. My card this week for Just Inklined. It's a lovely digi stamp and is only one GB knicker! A pound to anyone who's not up on the lingo ;)

A li'l close up...

'Just A Note' cards are very versatile... Just a note to say thank-you... to wish you a happy birthday... or to say 'Good Luck', anything really. I always like to keep a few for emergencies ;)

I coloured the image with Promarkers. Used Stickles and Liquid Pearls to 'tart it up' LOL.

Light source coming from top left...

Hello all! I've had no internetz for a few days... Grrrr... Anyway, I'm up and running again, so I can now post my DT card for Make It Colourful challenge 'light source from top left'. I really loved experimenting with this because I love a good colouring challenge :D

Here it is...

For this card I used 'park bench for two' digital stamp from Make It Crafty. They've also got some great new stamps, so pop over and check them out! :D

I added cute little Tilda... I think I did ok with the light source, eh?

I coloured the whole scene with Promarkers. The leaves and background were coloured with pigment ink pads.

I sent this card to Stinky Winky WooWoo's to go with the 'Mummu and Me' framed pic. :)

Ooooh, another quick post! I can't really add anything else.

Framed 'Mummu and Me'...

Hello folks! It's me... again! LOL! I'm back with a project I made for my little friend 'Stinky Winky Woo Woo's' (aka Kerry). Poor Stinky has been going through a horrible time lately and I wanted to cheer her up :) She's also one of the kindest people I know, so she deserves nice things to happen to her. Aaages ago she commented on a card I made using Mummu and Me from Digital Pencil Too. She said it made her cry, because it reminded her so much of her and her Nana when she was little. Stinky mentioned how much she misses her Nana, especially when she's going through horrible times :(

I decided not to do a card for my good friend, but instead a framed picture. I haven't done any frames for a while and thought it would be a nice keepsake for Stinky Winky :)

Here it is...

I covered the framed with 12x12 paper from Cosmo Cricket - Something Blue and added some flowers and emellishments from my stash... all things Nana :)

I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers... the background with Silkies.

There's not much more I can add really.

My DT card for Make It Colourful...

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days, but I've been trying to catch up on all the things I should have done while I was ill. Thank-you for all the lovely comments you've left for me, I appreciate them so much. I promise I will eventually get around to replying :)

I would also like to say thank-you for the lovely awards some of you have left for me. I have decided not to accept any more awards, due to the fact that I feel so bad when I miss people out when distributing them. It's not that I don't appreciate them, please don't think I don't. :)

Right, so onto my card... well, I must fess up... I did a stupid thing when I'd actually finished the card. I tried to improve the grass but picked the wrong coloured pen up... I sort of have tunnel vision, so I stupidly didn't check the pen and assumed it was a different one. I had to go over the whole lot and as you will see, it's not brilliant :( I could have cried, the rest of the card took a fair while to make and I didn't have the time to make another... not at 2am, when I had to be up at 7am!

Hello peeps! Are you all surprised I'm keeping my new years resolution of regular blogging? I AM?! LOL!

I had a fairly good night's sleep last night for the first time in weeks! YAY! Today I've made a fairly simple card and I'm really happy with it, mainly because I LOVE the image so much :D and secondly, I think it's because I'm feeling a bit better and have a bit of my mojo back... HURRAH!

My DT card for Make It Colourful...

Hello again! Another little post from me! Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for the get well wishes and for commenting on my cards :) It really does mean a lot to me... You're all wonderful! I promise I will get around to commenting back when I feel better.

I can't tell you how much I didn't think I would get this card finished in time. Like I said, my brain has been so out of gear since I've been feeling ill... my mojo seems to have taken a little trip somewhere lately :(

I really didn't want to let Zoe and the girls down over at Make It Colourful, so I came up with this 8x8.

For this I used the Carriage Of Love digi from Make It Crafty. It's stunning enough to use on its own to be honest with you... only I downloaded this other cute little digi Forest Elf from Spesch Stamps and thought it would go perfectly! Obviously, because my brain is a bit dumb atm, I colored the carriage first and decided to painstakingly colour and cut Forest Elf out after... DOH! What a wonderful job that was! The leaves and little pieces of fly away hair were particularly fun... LOL. I left the card with no sentiment as I thought it could do for birthdays, weddings or any other special occasion...

I hope you'll all try to take part in the challenge this week, it's 'Shadows and Depth'. :)

Hi again, everyone! Well, I hope you're all feeling better than me... I've still got a chest infection, so that means I'm getting very little sleep, because I'm spending my sleep time awake coughing my guts up! Urgh! It's really starting to get me down now :( I'm praying for a good night's sleep... PLEASE! LOL! I apologise to everyone if I haven't managed to visit your blog and comment, but my heart really hasn't been in it. SORRY! :(

This week I've tried to do so much but achieved very little. At least I managed to get one DT card done... YAY! I made this for the Copic/Promarkers challenge over at The Outlawz. Yay! it's a blog hop!

Hello everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the Just Inklined hop! You should have arrived here from the lovely Lydia's blog, if not, you need to join the hop from the start at Cathy's and work your way back to me and then onward. I'm a bit excited as this is my first project with the team and I'm also feeling a little bit better, which means my brain is more in gear :D The theme for the hop is 'LOVE'... I hope you're enjoying it so far!

Now onto my card! I just kept it simple because the illustration say's it all really. I saw this and thought it was hilarious! The digi stamp is called 'You're Mine'... heh-heh. There's nothing quite like being TOLD! The stamp is downloadable at Imag-e-nation. Have a good look through the digi's there, because I tell you now, they're ALL brilliant!

Isn't it perfect for someone with a sense of humour?! I'm going to give this to my OH, it's right up his street! I really enjoyed colouring it up.

My first guest Dt card for...

The fabulous challenge blog... 'Make It Colourful'! The Challenge is 'Blend blue and purple together'.

Ok, so I have to apologise now for this post. I'm feeling really unwell at the moment, I've caught the viral infection Boz has got and it's so awful. I can't begin to tell you how weak I'm feeling... and how my brain isn't functioning as it should be. Hopefully it will start to subside over the next few days, because going by Boz, she's already started to perk up :)

I'm going to put up the card I made for the challenge and tell you what I used after...

For this card I used the gorgeous 'Stairway To Heaven' digi stamp from'Make It Crafty'

'God's Little Angel' The cute little digi stamp from 'Karens Doodles

Pop over and browse both sites for their lovely digi's!

As you can see, I blended the sky Purple to blue :) I used my Promarkers to colour the whole scene.

Liquid pearls around the edge of the top part of the card, and stickles dotted about.

I used a Cuttlebug die for the corners on the bottom part and a Martha Stewart punch... 'Doily Lace'.

The tag is a Nesties die and the small butterflies a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope I managed to cover everything as my brain is totally frazzled :S

What a week!

Hi again! Well, I've had a really good week... NO! I've had a really GREAT week! There are so many things I want to babble on about, but because my little Bozley (Lauryn) is poorly I haven't got the time :(

I'll just let you in on a few things that have happened, then the rest of the news will drizzle through when I have to tell ;)

My first bit of FABBY news is... I'm a guest designer for February over at Make It Colourful. I mean... ME! I actually asked Zoe if she'd gotten the right person. Have you seen the work those ladies produce?! Zoe is the queen of colouring, so I'm hoping she won't be putting any of my work near hers... LOL! In fact, they're ALL fantastical! I was so excited when Zoe asked me to join them that I was stunned into silence. My jaw actually did drop... heh heh. Seems the team needs someone who uses Promarkers and I'm lucky enough for Zoe to have stumbled across me. *BEAMING*

Right! As if that's not fantastic enough, Jak Heath dropped me a PM on Facebook yesterday and asked me if I'd be a guest designer at Just Inklined! JAK HEATH! OMG! It didn't take me long to mull that one over either, I can tell you! Check out the design team over there... it's like the who's who of crafting! I'll be joining them next week for the blog hop, so please take part :)

I'm feeling a bit giddy as you can imagine :D

YEEEE-AAAH! I'm also now a designer for Letraset (Promarkers)... HOW EXCITING IS THAT?! The card I've attached to the bottom of this post is the one I'm sending in to for them to use however they wish. I've already been in touch with the lovely Mo Manning to see if I could use her illustrations and she's agreed!
This may mean you'll have to suffer some more tutorials or just a few little tips, but hey! I'm willing to put you all through that! LOL!

I also received two awards from two lovely ladies, which really made me feel so chuffed. They're the same award, but I have to put them both up seperately and link them back to their blogs. SO PLEASE CLICK ON THEM because they're both ACE!

UK crafters... Please help! Don't ignore!

Some of you may or may not know that my nephew died from a rare form of cancer after suffering with it for 4 years. It's pure hell for anyone going through something like that, as we all know... watching a child going through it is unbearable.

I recently became aware of a charity called Post Pals, where you can send small gifts, cards, or letters to cheer children up who are suffering with terrible illnesses. One little card can make their day! I was so disappointed when I put a link up on Facebook and got ONE written response underneath it saying how sad it was. I've got loads of crafty friends on Facebook who could make a little card , write a simple, nice message in it and pop it in the post. It's not a lot to ask, but makes so much difference to the recipient. The card doesn't have to be fantastic, it's the thought and letting them know others are thinking of them that really matters.

I just read that one little boy only has a few weeks to live and his mum would like people to send him a card, or any little thing to make his last few weeks cheerful. Is that a lot to ask? Here's the link...Matthew P. If you do one thing this week, let it be that you made a very ill boy happy!

Whoop! Some good news!

Hello dearest followers! I got a bit of good news yesterday, but I've been so busy that I just haven't had the time to post it up on here until now. I've been made a DT member for Copics/Promarkers challenge over at The Outlawz, a new place for all us crafters to get together and join in LOTS of different challenges... one for each day of the week, so that should keep everyone's hands and minds busy! LOL! Get yourselves over there and signed up, everyone is so friendly, so you'll receive a nice, warm welcome :)

Well that's my good news, but I ain't leaving yet! Here is my card I made for the first of my DT challenge entries...

It's an 8x8 card, which is quite large to what I normally make, but I thought I'd push myself to have a go. I've had my Cricut Expression for months, and so far all I've used it for is making vinyl motorbike numbers for Pete! I really went to town on it with this card, making the vines, tag, letters, hearts and flowers running along the bottom... well I had to fill this card up somehow! LOL! I still can't stop buying dies for my Cuttlebug though. The Cricut ain't so good at embossing when it's cut the shape :(

My little sepia card...

Hi folks! First of all, I'd like to say thanks to all the people who posted my tutorial on their blogs, also the lovely comments I received... I was so worried it would get laughed at, but the feedback has been lovely :) THANK-YOU!

Now onto my card... I got the digi stamp from Funky Kits, and this set is exactly what it says it is... "SIMPLY ADORABLE". I downloaded all the set of full sized one's and I've really enjoyed colouring them up. The one I'm showing today is 'Grace standing'. I thought she'd look lovely done in sepia tones... I hope you agree! :) She's so beautiful I didn't want to do too much with the rest of the card so the focus was kept on her.

For anyone struggling with colouring these are excellent as some of the shading is already done. Personally, I would have preferred no shading as I like to practice with my own. ANYWAY, I still LOVE them!

I Love Promarkers - Punches

My colouring with Promarkers tutorial

Hello everyone! I'm back again, not with a card this time, but a tutorial! I've been asked on Facebook a few times to do a Promarker colouring tutorial, so today I finally caved in. Now please don't think I'm being bigheaded by doing this, because it wasn't my idea... I really am doing this for the folks who have asked me to put it on my blog. I don't follow any particular technique as far as I know, so some of it might seem a bit odd. LOL.

Anyway, here is the tutorial using a digital stamp by Victoria Case called 'Heidi'.

I started with the skin and as you can see, the light is coming in from the left. With the first dark colour I try to keep as close to the line as possible.

Colour used - Chestnut.

Over the top of the Chestnut I used Coral to blend towards the centre, adding cheeks and a little speck of shade near the nose.

Next colour up is Saffron. Go over the Chestnut and Coral with this, try to do it while the other colours are wet because it blends better I find, but you still get a great result when it has dried.

Then go over the whole lot with Ivory. You can tone a lot of the colour down with that last touch. But don't go beserk, otherwise the skin will look washed out when you add more colour to the pic. :)

Lips and eyes... I used Antique Pink for the lips, leaving a glint, and Purple for the first layer of eyeshadow... remember where your shadow on the skin is, this will be where your eyeshadow is darkest and as a rule it's darker just above the eyelashes.

I blended the rest of the eyeshadow with Lilac.

The eyes...Iris's, just a sliver of colour... Colbalt Blue, just a dot at the top and bottom and Blue Pearl toward the middle, leaving a speck of white. Touch up the cheeks using a tiny dot of white hightlighter and blending quickly with your finger.

I decided to do the hair black and worked from dark to light. Some work light to dark. Whichever you're most comfortable with, eh?
The ends wouldn't necessarily be dark but I like a bit of drama.

Over the black and blending in with Cool Grey 4.

Over that with Cool Grey 3, Still keeping a shimmer of light.

Then back over the top with black drawing the colour back into it. Blending that in slightly again with Cool Grey 5.

I mostly use greys to pick up the darker shadows. So these will be furthest away from the light and in creases etc... Used Cool Grey 4 here.

Over the top with Antique Pink, drawing it toward the light.

Then over that with Cocktail Pink. Pale pink where it's getting lighter still and a blender to pick up the lightest bits.

The frilly bits were done with Moss for the darker parts. On the frill, that would be where it dips, the light will be at the top.

For the light... Lime Zest.

For the stockings obviously the darker shade goes to the right and the lighter to the left. Black fineliner just under the skirt and to the far right of the stocking, then Cool Grey 5.

Lighter part of the stocking... Cool Grey 3 and Cool Grey 2.

The earring was done with Chestnut, amber and gold. YEAH! 3 colours on that little thing! lol. The choker and hair band Antique Pink, Cocktail Pink and Pale pink. A tiny touch of white highlighter :)

The BEER! (I hate colouring the beer) Done with Chestnut and amber for the first, darkest stage...

Then blended with Saffron, Vanilla, a few flecks of caramel and the white highlighter.

The froth... Vanilla and Cool Grey.

Finally, I added the background, just a light one to make the image pop. Khaki to the right of the image for a slight shadow then blended with Ivory.

I also touch up bits I'm not that happy with at the end, like the shadow from the beer glass and under her bust etc. The ink was still wet, so it looks very dark, but it does lighten when it dries :)

Hope you've enjoyed my tutorial. It's not perfect by any means, but you've got the basics... I HOPE!
Keep practicing with your Promarkers and you WILL get great results. I practice all the time and am still finding new techniques!

Retro comic card.

Hi all, can you believe I'm back again so soon?! Well, I did say it was my new year resolution to be a better blogger, and six days in I'm not doing bad by my standards, eh? lol. I made this card yesterday and it's another fairly simple design, but lordy did it take me forever to get right?! I almost gave up at one point, but soldiered on :) Anyway... here it is, my little retro comic card for a little boy...

The image is a digital stamp 'Superduper Boy' from Mo Mannings Digital Pencil Too and isn't he just ACE?!

I coloured this little fella with my Promarkers and added some Stardust Stckles to his mask to give him a bit of super-power ZING! lol. I also created the comic words :)

Sunshine and flowers...

Hiya all! I've decided to be a good blogger and make the effort by posting another card! My migraine has finally gone (touch wood) so I'm feeling a bit happier :) Today I made a SUNNY card, because I'm so sick of the miserable weather here in Blighty. I think I went a bit OTT with the flowers and buttyflies, but so what?! We'll not be seeing any real ones for months here, so I'm over-compensating for it, lol! For this card I used Mo Manning's latest digital stamp... 'Wonderful day'.

ANYWAY, here I am again with lot's of pic's of cards and a few other things I've made and uploaded to Facebook. I truly would upload to my blog more often, but then I have to do the whole writing about it business and that's what I'm not very good at :'(

I suppose I should start with some jewellery I've made using Mo Manning's 'Alice and friends' digi's, seeing as my pal Jackie has blabbed about it on her blog. THANKS for that, Jackie!!! LOL!

I know Vixykins will LOVE all the peel and stick on that puppy! LOL! It was all I could find to go with the image! HONEST!!!

A little Christmas card...

Yes, I'm back and so soon after my last post! I just wanted to post another card I made which I would normally just put on my Facebook profile. I must be feeling 'bloggy'... LOL.

You'll find the 'Noelle bearing gifts" digital stamp at Digital Pencil Too. I love this stamp! You can do so much with Mo's digi's. Yes, I'm a HUGE fan :)

I coloured Noelle with Promarkers and went over the image with clear ultra thick embossing powder. I gave it a few good coats for the crackling effect.

Then I added some clear rainbow embossing powder around the edges (the bit that looks like pepper due to my camera not picking up the sparkle). Before that I went around the edge of the oval with Tim Holtz distress pad (Vintage Photo).

The paper for the background is Magnolia "Once Upon A Time" Blue Starlit. Unfortunately you can't see very much of it due to me throwing gear on top and hiding it, but it's very nice... HONEST! LOL.I've used Diamond stickles around the edge of that and distressed it by damping, tearing and rolling. I don't know if anyone else does that, but I find it quick and effective... could be just me?

I've added flowers from Wild Orchid and a few gems to the top corner. The Punch for the leaves is Leone Em or Em Leone (might have to check that ;))

To finish it off, I dotted Liquid Pearls around the edge of the main card. It's not the neatest finish, but it looks ok from a distance ;)

20's Evie in monochrome.

Okay, so I've been MIA again... SORRY! :( I did warn everyone when I started this thing I wouldn't be regular because I'm basically not very good at blogging, or anything for that matter... LOL. I'm just not very good at doing write ups, so you'll have to bear with my rubbishness ;)

Anyway, here's a little card I made today using Tickled Pink's '20's Evie'. I got the digi stamp version mainly because I like to resize my images to suit the card size, AND they're easier to colour when they've got stick thin arms and legs! :D

I wish I was happier with this card. I really love the image, but I'm not too thrilled with the film tape I added to fill the white space down the right hand side. It looked very bare, but probably better than the finished product :(

I added some liquid pearls to Evie to create a long string of pearls and a little flower to her cloche hat to jazz her up a bit.

Here she is in her little slide mount. :)

I coloured her with Promarkers, added liquid pearls here, there and everywhere.

The radio advert was googled ;)

I used plain cardstock and mirricard.

Added a little handbag charm, gems and flowers from my stash.

I think that's about it!

Another Wonderland project... Framed Hatter

Hiya folks! Yep, it's me again... with another project... another Wonderland project. This time I focussed on the Hatter, Mo's latest digi stamp. Isn't he WONDERFUL? I snapped him up straight away and got to work.
And this is what I came up with....

So there he is, having his mad party, surrounded by some of his co-stars. Speaking of which, they're all available at Digital Pencil Too along with some lovely new ones! Tweedledum and Tweedledee, plus The Dormouse. Mo is also going to create the Caterpillar smoking the hookar pipe... can't wait!

Okay, so I didn't colour these guys while they were that small. I coloured them first (with Promarkers), scanned them and then made them ikkle, cuz even I'm not THAT good. LOLZ. I went around the edges with a Tim Holtz distress ink pad (Vintage Photo) and coated them with clear, extra thick embossing powder and zapped 'em with my heat gun... obvs. Waited until they'd cooled right down and crackled the life out of 'em ;)

Now, I'm not going to tell you what I covered the frame with, because I can't remember! LOL! It's the same paper I used on my other Alice project. Anyway, I stamped it with my pocket watch stamp and put some of my little charms here, there and everywhere, Simple, isn't it?!

The Queen of Hearts in da House... of Cards... of course!

Howdy my good friends and followers! I know some of you will have passed out from the shock of me posting something so soon after my last post, so I'll give you a few minutes to come round... LOL!
Ok, so hopefully you've regained your senses and vision... (you'll need your good vision for my bad camera work!).
What have I been up to this weekend?... Well, I badgered Mo Manning into creating a Queen of Hearts digi stamp because I went shopping and had some kind of creative attack. I actually only went shopping for a few candles (which I didn't get btw!) and saw a triple shadow box frame... "hmmmm" I thought, "That'd look lovely with some Alice in Wonderland gear in it". My favourite digi stamp of the 'mo' (lol, geddit? MO!) (Ok, I stop being unfunny nao) is 'Alice in pencil' by Mo, as you can probably tell by my previous post. Well, I had the white rabbit (late) and Alice, but there were three recesses I had to fill, so I summoned Mo's expert hand and desperately requested for the most beautiful and gracious (<------LOL) Queen of Hearts to be created. Soooo, Mo being the wonderful person that she is, did it and so brilliantly too! A BIG thank-you to her for breaking off from more important stuff :). (A Mad Hatter and Tweedledum & Dee will hopefully follow ;))
I suppose it's time to show you my handy work... remember to excuse the dodgy camera work! The picture frame was so long it was difficult to get a good shot.

A little bit of white...

Hello! Remember me?! I've got a good excuse for disappearing this time... been on my jollies... to Italy, via France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg (not in that order). Truth is, I haven't had the energy to make anything since I got back due to some horrible stomach bug I picked up 2 days before we returned :(

Anyhoo, myself, Pete and Boz had a GREAT time, and I took some lovely pic's. I'll hopefully bother to upload a few when I've uploaded my latest card :D

Right, so, here it is... my lots of white card...

I made this using Mo Manning's 'Alice in pencil' digi stamp, coloured with Promarkers. The background was embossed with cuttlebug folders and the corners were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. I used liquid pearls on the butterflies, little flowers and around the edge of the plaque (nestabilites dies). The little 'drink me' bottle was a pain to make up... well the tag was... it's not easy writing that small, keeping it fairly neat and trying to make it look like a tag, lol. I put some glitter in there, but it doesn't show up so well on my dodgy photo :( To finish it off, I added a couple of larger flowers... and that's about it!

Hey up! I know I keep disappearing, but I've been busy making some wedding invitations and other stuff :)

Anyway, I'm back now and I've made this little 'Cheeky' card. I don't know if I like it or not... it's the colours... I normally make really bright, colourful cards.

For this card I used Anya Cheeky Glamour stamp, coloured with Promarkers. The film strip and fancy stitching around the edges are Daisy D tapes, (I had to practice a few times to get the desired effect). The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the rest of the gear is from my stash.

Hi again, I must say, the sun today is definitely making up for yesterdays miserable weather :D

Without further a do, here's the card I've made for the second day of the Woodland Whimsies blog hop...

Do you think I got a bit carried away colouring the digi butterflies? LOL. I couldn't help myself, they were so quick and easy to do. I spent about a minute on each butterfly :)

Here's what I used from Sarah's discs... A sheet of digital butterflies and a butterfly backing paper.

I used a cuttlebug folder for the backdrop and some Nellies dies for the sentiment. EASY!

I can't remember the last time I made such a quick and effective card tbh :D

Happy 70th Birthday!!

Hello again, hope you're having a nice weekend so far :) I would be if it wasn't for this horrible rain. I planned on going for a bike ride, but it's just not fit weather :(
Anyway, here's a cheeky little card I've made for my dad to give to my mum for her 70th birthday, hopefully she won't kill him when she sees it ;) Luckily, she's got a sense of humour... phew!

For this card I used the Flossie Bumblethorpe digi from Just inklined...( isn't she ACE?!)

I paper pieced her dress with 'rainbow polka dots' backing paper from Sarah Hurley's 'Woodland Whimsies' CD. Coloured the rest of the image and the butterfly (a digi stamp also from Sarah's disc) with Promarkers.

I then distressed the edge of the polka dots paper and went around the edges with gold stickles.

Hello again,
Here's another card using a Mo Manning digi stamp, she's called 'Diva'. You can find her over at Digital Pencil Too :) I've coloured her with Promarkers and added flowersoft to make the boa look a bit more 'feathery'. I did her necklace and the swirls on the bottom half with 'Pearl' Liquid pearls. Used some stickles on her gloves, crown and the butterflies. The corners are a made from a Cuttlebug die. It's all very pink! Perfect for a little diva :D

Hi again! Just popped on to post this easel card. I'll be entering this at Anya Ink blogspot and Passion For Promarkers Challenge . A quick post as usual. The stamp is Cheeky Cherry Shooter, coloured with Pro-Markers. Stamped the magnolia tree and Magnolia fence, coloured and cut them out to add a bit of depth. Made a lasso out of some string. I downloaded a denim pattern for the bottom part of the card, added a few buttons and some stickles, et voila! Done!

Howdy all!
What a busy few weeks I've had! I'm prepping for the craft workshop I'm running at a local school atm, but on top of that I've had to fill orders that have mounted up and now it's a last minute rush. What with caring for my aunt and bringing a child up, plus housework and other everyday chores, I've gotten to the point where I don't know my ass from my elbow. LOL! Oooooh and I have some exciting news to share in a few days! Looks like I'm destined to be eternally busy... Anyhoo, I'll post a few pic's of recent cards now to show that I've still been keeping on top of my fave hobby :)

Another quick hello...
I've done two cards this week with this gorgeous Anya Flapper image from The Greeting Farm. She's coloured with ProMarkers and red stickles added to the fringes of her dress and head band. I used a Nesties large circle for the main pic and two Nesties scalloped edge dies for the outer. The flowers and swirls are Marianne D dies and the corners a Cuttlebug die. I also used the Swirls cuttlebug folder for the background and went over it with a large red ink pad.

I'm on a roll! A card for my brother... Shhhh....

This week I decided to dedicate my card making time to male cards and as I have plenty of great images to work with now, I don't have any excuses not to. Another reason is my younger brother's birthday is coming up, so while I'm making fathers day cards I may as well stay in the male card making mood and make 4 cards for my 4 brothers.

I've used another Precious Moments image for this card and I'm really pleased with it. Coloured it with my ProMarkers... of course, and all the other images too. The other images are from online colouring pages which I find is a great source for 'tarting up' cards. I know Sherrifs badges are normally silver, but I wanted to add an extra bit of colour to my card ;) Ooooh and the ribbon was free too... I salvaged it from some packaging at Christmas and I think it works so well because it's not so obvious. I added a little guitar charm as it went with the image and that's about it really :D

I loved this Precious Moments image so much I had to get him coloured and put on a card. I used my ProMarkers to colour the image and drew the tie and coloured that with PM's also. There's not much else to say, except I enjoyed making this card and will be making lots more with the cute Precious Moments images :)

This is one of two male cards I've been working on this week. I don't make nearly enough male cards, so I'm not used to using "maley" colours and patterns. I'm entering this in "card for a male" at Stamping For The Weekend. The digi stamp is called Ronnie Relaxing and all the proceeds from this stamp go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. It's perfect for Fathers Day, but really just about any man, for any event. He's coloured with ProMarkers and the paper is "Funky Vintage" Dovecraft. Thrown a few buttons on there and a belt to finish it off :)

HELLO!!! This is my card for the I Love ProMarkers challenge blog where I was chosen as a guest for the design team for May... Whooop!!! Pollycraft are sponsoring this weeks challenge and are giving away a gorgeous set of digi stamps to the lucky winner... I want them! lol.
I coloured Pollycrafts digi "Cherry Kisses - Wedding Couple" with ProMarkers, and aren't they cute?!
I embossed the background with Cuttlebug "Birds and Swirls" folder, going over it with a stamp pad and added some Stardust Stickles here and there. The corners and large hearts are Cuttlebug dies and of course I had to 'stickle' the large hearts after I'd distressed them a little bit and gone around the edges with ProMarkers. The little hearts punched with a mini-punch, coloured and also 'Stickled'. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom edge of the pink cardstock and topped it all off with some gold glitter, a button and a heart charm.

Good Morning! (afternoon or evening)
Just a quick post today as I'm in a rush... as usual. I'm entering this card in the I Love Pro-Markers challenge. The image was a freebie and what a gorgeous freebie it is! It can be found here with quite a few others...Fairy Children. Coloured with Pro-Markers and Letraset fineliner 0.3. Went over the wings with opal dust and diamond glaze... The swirls are little Marianne D dies I put together to make the border. Cuttlebug swirls folder for the background and of course... STICKLES!

First of all I've had a bad week because my Cuttlebug broke and my car is very poorly, but making this card with the lovely Tilda image cheered me up :) I'm entering her in the I love Pro-Markers sketch challenge and the totally gorjuss challenge. Obviously she's coloured with pro-Markers for the Pro-Marker challenge and she has faux stitches for the totally gorjuss challenge. I don't know if you've noticed but I've really gone to town with the Stickles... lol. I drew and coloured the sentiment as I couldn't find anything else that suited the punched heart. I also went around the edge of the pink distressed circle with brown and pink Pro-Markers and coloured the butterfly too. Well, there's not much else to say about the card except I'm pleased with it, I just hope the recipient will be :)

As I LOVE Gorjuss Girls and my liquid pearls, I thought I'd put them together on this very purpely card. Is "purpely" a word...? It sounded alright when I said it in my head, but typing it out it doesn't look right. Anyway, I'm going to post this card on here http://totallygorjuss.blogspot.com/ this will be my first ever real participation in a blog challenge type thingymajig, so I hope it's not laughed at... but then again I won't know so it doesn't really matter. Well, here goes nothing...

This is a little easel card I made a few weeks ago, but I've been so busy, I haven't had time to upload them to my new blog! As it's now (supposedly) spring, I thought I'd try and get in the mood by experimenting with flowers and butterflies. I wanted to make it appear as though the butterflies were bursting from the flowers and I think I managed it, which is a miracle for me! I rarely get an idea for a card and it turns out the way I see it in my head, they just seem to take on their own direction two minutes in.
So, anyway...until I work out how to do the ingredients bits at the end and all that jazz, Ill give you a quick run through of what I've used right here. The top of the card was from a set bought for my daughter to play with, it's been sitting around for over a year, so I decided to put it to use on this little card. The butterflies are plain, cream silk ready to be tarted up. I purchased some of the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some from my stash. The stamp is coloured with Pro-Markers, it's a digi from Pollycraft and I love it!
This card has been entered in the OCC challenge "blossoms" and creatalicious challenges "flowers and wings".

I'm really getting into using liquid pearls to add flourishes to my cards. You really need a steady hand to control the amount that comes out, especially when you're constantly trying to graduate the size and keep the pattern going in the direction you want it to.

Sooo... This was a pretty straight forward card. I printed off a lovely vintage photo and framed it with a nesties frame. Used a few paper flowers from my stash and decorated the frame with Silver Liquid Pearls. The background is a Cuttlebug folder... "Birds and Swirls". For the corners I used a little Sizzix corner die, popped the inside cut out and mirrored it on the outside. Simple!

Well, I suppose this has been a long time coming, but I've never had the time nor been in the right frame of mind, so I'm not sure what I'm doing at the moment.

I suppose it's just a little part of the internet for me to post some pic's of my work and see what happens!
